FCT Police Commissioner receives commendation of Abaji royal father

The FCT Commissioner of police, Bala Ciroma, has been commended by the traditional ruler of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Adamu Yinusa for rising up to the challenges posed by insecurity in the Area. The Monarch made the commendation when recently the police boss visited his palace to assess security situation in the Area council. The Ona charged the Divisional police officer in the Area Council to sustain the good work already done by the force in crime fighting and asked residents to always provide the intelligence needed to address security challenges in the area.

He further enjoined officers in the Area Council to show more commitment in fighting criminality in the area by emulating their DPO whom he described as a hardworking police officer. Speaking on the occasion, Abaji Area Council chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajia thanked the Area Council's police command for being proactive in the fight against criminality in the Area council, promising the support of his administration in making Abaji safe for habitation.

He further appealed to religious leaders and traditional rulers to jointly support the Police in the area to win the war against crime in the Area council.

The Minister said these after a meeting of the FCT Security Committee which comprises heads of the police, military and para-military formations in FCT as well as Area Council Chairmen and religious leaders.

The cheery news is coming as Minister of State, FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu will headline a distinguished galaxy of stakeholders for the FCT pension stakeholders retreat this week.
