No Room For Incompetent Contractors In FCT – Wike

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) would not condone contractors without capacity because Abuja is not a place for shoddy work.

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, made this declaration while speaking to newsmen after inspection of key projects in the nation’s capital.

The Minister stressed that though his Administration was not the one that awarded the projects but allowed the contractors to complete them, because they were doing well.

His words: “I’ve said this severally. I will not allow any contractor that does not seem to have the capacity to continue to do jobs for us. For now, all of them are doing very well.”

Wike stated that he was hopeful the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX), running from Gudu, through Apo to Wassa, would be ready by May,

The Minister, noted that there was a delay due to compensation and resettlement of affected persons; adding that that has been cleared.

On the Inner Southern Expressway (ISEX) at Idu, Wike commended the contractor for working hard, explaining that it was initially delayed, because approval was needed to cross the rail line, which also has been obtained.
