DCP Disu wins silver in Judo Championship

The Commander of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) DCP Tunji Disu, has won a silver medal in the 33rd US Open Judo Championship taking place in Brookline, Massachusetts, United States of America.

Disu contested in the minus 100kg category of the veteran division in the competition, which had over five hundred veteran champions from all over the world.

The IRT Boss, who became a Judoka in 1986 has won several medals in Judo, which include, 2 Gold medals from the Nigeria Police Games, 1 Silver medal from the Armed Forces Games, and two Gold medals in 1990 National Sports Festival in Bauchi.

In November 2021, Disu won a gold medal at the first veteran championships organized by the Nigerian Police Force.

He is the Chairman of the Police Judo Association and was the Chairman of the Lagos State Judo Association.
