Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after the distress call and attempted to revive him for over 30 minutes before he was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police confirmed there were no signs of foul play.

Born Terry Gene Bollea, Hogan became a global icon in the 1980s as the face of “Hulkamania” and helped transform professional wrestling into a mainstream entertainment force. He was a six-time WWE Champion and played a major role in launching the WrestleMania franchise.

In the 1990s, he reinvented himself as “Hollywood Hogan” and led the New World Order faction in WCW, extending his relevance and popularity with a new generation of fans. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, both as an individual and as part of the nWo.

Outside the ring, Hogan acted in films such as Rocky III and Mr. Nanny, and starred in the reality show Hogan Knows Best. He also remained active in wrestling business ventures until his death.

Reports say he had been dealing with serious health issues in recent years, including multiple back surgeries. Friends claimed he was in good spirits just days before his passing.

Tributes have poured in from around the world. WWE called him a transformative figure, while stars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ric Flair and John Cena praised his legacy and influence on the sport and beyond.

Hogan is survived by his two children, Brooke and Nick. Funeral plans are yet to be made public.
