DEVELOPMENT CONTROL GETS NEW HEAD AS TPL GALADIMA HANDS OVER TO DR. BASHIR

Commendation, laughter and emotions filled the air as TPL Galadima Muktah, the outgoing Director of Development Control Departments handed over to the most senior Deputy Director of the Department, Dr. TPL Sanusi Bashir Madaki in a smooth transition which took place at the AMMC Headquarters at wuse zone 6.
TPL Galadima thanked God for granting him good health while in service and also appreciated staff and management of the Department for giving him all the support and encouragement throughout the eight years he served as a substansive director of the Department.
He described incoming TPL Bashir as a square peg in a square hole, stressing that Dr Bashir has the competent, skill and courage to take the department to a greater height, and apealed to all staff to give him maximum support.
TPL Bashir, however, thanked the outgoing Director for his dedication and commitment towards the development of the Department and solicited for the cooperation of staff and management in taking the department to a greater height. Dr. TPL Sanusi Bashir Madaki, started his journey of becoming a Town Planner from Kaduna Polytechnic where he obtained a National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning in 1987, he proceeded to Yaba college of technology where he obtained Higher National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning in 1990.
After his national youth service in 1991, he went further to obtain a postgraduate Diploma in Regional planning in 1994.
He holds a Master of Science Degree (MSC) in Urban and Regional Planning from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
TPL Bashir got a PHD in Environmental Resource Management in 2023. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners.
Through career progression, he rose to the mark of a Deputy Director.
Before this new assignment, he was the Deputy Director in charge of Development Permit (South) at the Development Control Department, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, AMMC.
