The FCT Teachers have been called upon to ensure the sustainability of the 5-day intensive training programme on Entrepreneurship Pedagogy.
Making this call at the closing ceremony, the Director of the FCT Education Resource Centre (ERC),Dr Nameet Daud Abdulrahim commended the participants for their high level of commitment throughout the training. She encouraged them not to relent in their efforts to transform, translate, and transmit the knowledge gained into their classrooms. She emphasized that the success of the programme lies in consistent implementation, innovation, and continuous step-down training across their respective schools.
She noted that various sessions have exposed them to the practical skills of Entrepreneurship pedagogy and equipped them with mindsets to think outside the box, innovate, create, and actively engage their students in a student teaching and learning environment, as every child has the potential to become self-independent and contribute to the development of the society.
She added that the teachers have been empowered with Entrepreneurship mindsets, hence the need to share their experiences with other teachers, creating an atmosphere for their students to thrive in a digital world through Entrepreneurship Education while leveraging the various platforms available to succeed.
In their vote of thanks, the Participants expressed their appreciation to the organizers for giving them the opportunity to learn beyond the four walls of the classrooms and make every session engaging and productive with entrepreneurship applications. They promised to step it down for others to learn.
Wrapping up the programme, Dr Keni Fredrick, the Head of Division of Teachers Development of the ERC noted that the teachers who have been equipped with practical skills, innovative pedagogy, and modern approaches in line with the new NERDC curriculum, remain central to transforming Education for national development by linking classroom instruction with the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem.
He encouraged them to continue to inspire their students to think critically, innovate, create, and pursue economic independence.
