Professional Exams: FCT Nursing School Gets Commendation

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) College of Nursing Sciences gets a brilliant performance in the September 2023 Professional Midwifery Examination.

The College gulped 77% in the overall score across the country, while also having 95.5% in the performance of students in the FCT College of Nursing Sciences in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Reacting to the development, the Secretary, FCT Health Services and Environment Secretariat (HSES), Dr. Adedolapo Fasawe, commended the school for the execellent performance and urged them further strive to maintain the momentum.

Fasawe, however, said that the school excelled due to the enabling studying environment provided by the FCT Administration.

She noted that the meticulous method of admitting students into the college strictly based on merit as well as having qualified lectures in the college are reasons credited to the brilliant performance of the students in the exams.

Fasawe, thus, pledged that under her leadership as the Secretary of the Secretariat, the College will continue to raise the bar and attain record-breaking performance in Nigeria and beyond in Nursing training.

She added that some of the criteria for admission into FCT College of Nursing Sciences include a candidate must be 17 years and above, must have credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; in addition, must pass the entrance exams.

Abuja Digest recalls that admission into both schools are cut across all the states of the Federation, 30% for FCT indigenes, and the best candidate of each state in the entrance exams is admitted.
