FCT-UBEB Chairman, while expressing his gratitude for the Award, emphasized that, his call to work in FCT education sector over the years was not an error, but a genuine call that deserves justification from the impact that is expected to be felt by the society through his service delivery.
Speaking earlier, the National President, Abuja Indigenous Students’ Association (AISA), Comrade Muhammad-Nasir Abaji, said that the Award of Excellent presented to the Acting Chairman titled, ‘the most outstanding FCT indigenous Educationist’, is in recognition of his outstanding effort towards dedication and commitment to improving the educational landscape in the FCT.
Abaji, reiterated that the commitment, dedication and tireless effort put in place by the FCT-UBEB Chairman can never go unnoticed; adding that this is one of the reasons the leadership of AISA is prompted to present this prestigious Award.
His words: “Under the leadership of Alhaji Alhasan Sule, the Board has been able to provide numerous pensionable employment opportunities to the youth of the FCT, empowering them to build a better future for themselves and their communities. He has also Brought modern technologies and infrastructural development to our Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in the FCT.”
The President of AISA also used the opportunity to solicit the support of the FCT-UBEB to prioritize the completion of the uncompleted AISA National Secretariat, which is situated at Gwagwalada, FCT Abuja.
Abaji emphasized that the Secretariat building will not only provide them with a dedicated space but will also serve as a symbol of unity, resilience, and commitment to the educational development of the people of FCT.
He, therefore, requested the Board for a continuous support and dedication to the cause of education by completing the Secretariat building in FCT.
The President assured of the Union’s commitment to the education sector and promised to work hand in hand with the FCT Universal Basic Education Board to bring about positive change in the lives of the FCT Students.
