FCTA To Continue With All Inclusive Education System, Celebrates SSCE Adult Education Graduates

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will continue to run an all inclusive educational system to further improve the literacy rate in the Territory.

Secretary, FCT Education Secretariat, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, gave this assurance as the Department of Mass Education celebrates Senior Secondary Certificate Education (SSCE) Adult Education graduates in Abuja.

Accordingly, the Department of Mass Education honors 189 SSCE Adult Education graduates to showcase the uncommon academic achievement.

Hayyo said this academic achievement is a remarkable milestone that reflects the dedication and resilience of individuals, who have embarked on a transformative educational journey, and FCTA will do everything possible to assist them realize their potentials.

He commended the graduates for their unwavering determination and commitment to education; highlighting the unique challenges they had overcome on their educational journey.

Hayyo, who was represented by the Director, Department of Policy, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Joseph Abunike, emphasized the
significance of their accomplishment; noting that it not only symbolized personal triumphs but also served as an inspiration to others who may be contemplating similar paths.

The Secretary encouraged the Adult graduates to view this achievement as a stepping stone to greater heights.

Hayyo acknowledged and commended the dedication of the Department educators and staff, who played pivotal roles in guiding and supporting the Adults graduates.

Also speaking,the Director, Department of Mass Education, Hajia Hajarat Titilayo Alayande, said it is heartwarming to witness this occasion where the Adult graduates have defied odds to embrace the pursuit of knowledge later in life and now standing as a living examples of the enduring power of Education.

She emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, continuous self-improvement, and the positive impact each graduate could have on society.

Alayande noted that the graduation ceremony is not merely a culmination; it marks the beginning of new opportunities and pathways for the graduates who are now armed with knowledge, skills, and a thirst for continuous learning; adding that they are poised to contribute meaningfully to their communities and beyond.

Welcoming guests to the occasion, the AMAC Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Rekiya Musa, said the vocational training centre remains committed to fostering lifelong learning and educational empowerment; noting that the graduation celebration underscores the belief that education knows no age limit and serves as a reminder that every individual has the potential to achieve greatness.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the 189 Granduads to the Secretary for Education, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, and discussed on the career opportunities available in Sciences.
