Monte-Carlo Masters: Djokovic Exacts Revenge Over Musetti

By: Gyang Dakwo
World’s number 1 and 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic got his revenge over Lorenzo Musetti after beating him at the Monte-Carlo Masters to reach the quarter-finals.
Djokovic lost to Musetti last year at the same tournament when he suffered a shock third-round defeat to the Italian.
The 36-year-old made no mistakes this time around to secure his place in the last eight with a 7-5 6-3 victory.
Djokovic said he does not think he is at his “top level” but is now set to face Alex de Minaur for a semi-final berth.
He was victorious in the French Riviera in 2013 and 2015 but the world No. 1 is still searching for his first trophy of the season after reaching the semi-finals at the Australian Open.
Now he is using the clay-court tournament to fine-tune his preparations for the French Open next month.
