New AGIS Acting Director Appeals For Cooporation

The newly appointed Acting Director, Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS), Tukur Dan Asabe, appealed for high level cooperation to take the Agency to greater heights.
The new Acting Director made this appeal while taking over the affairs of the Agency at No. 4, Peace Drive, Central Business District, Abuja.
According to him, the cooperation of the staff and management of the organization is required to achieve the mandate for which the Agency was established.
Dan Asabe commended the leadership style of the FCT Minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, which he said is fast transforming the Nation’s Capital.
The Acting Director, who appreciated the Minister for finding him worthy to head the agency, promised to upgrade the services of AGIS and make it at par with global standards.
He said that the mandate of the Agency is to ensure proper geo-spatial data generation, management, record keeping, and revenue collection for the FCT Administration and that such services will be upscaled.
The new Acting Director promised to operate an open-door policy and would welcome any form of constructive criticism that will assist him in discharging his responsibilities for the utmost benefit of the teaming customers of the Agency.
Dan Asabe also said he would contribute positively towards the achievement of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as epitomized by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
In his remark, the out-going Acting Director of AGIS, Dr. Alfa Kure, expressed his gratitude to the staff of AGIS, for the cooperation he enjoyed and urged them to extend the same support to the new Director.
Kure acknowledged the contributions of his predecessor, Dr. Isa Ibrahim Jalo, who played a vital role in his joining the services of AGIS.
He expressed satisfaction with his achievement over the short time he spent as the Director of AGIS and promised to continue to give his best to the FCT Administration.
