NFF Unveils Finidi As Super Eagles Coach

Finidi George has been officially unveiled as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles in a ceremony performed by the NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau and Sports Minister, John Enoh.

The NFF had announced the appointment of Finidi as Super Eagles coach two weeks ago, but they did not reveal the specifics of the deal

It was however made it official on Monday with the public presentation of the coach as well as the signing of his one year contract.

Finidi will be assisted by his former Super Eagles teammate Daniel Amokachi, former Shooting Stars player Benjamin James and Mehmet Ozturk, who will serve as an analyst.

Others are Netherland-based fitness trainer Chima Onyeike and Olatunji Baruwa who returns as the goalkeeper trainer.

The former Ajax Amsterdam star has been in charge of the Super Eagles since March, and is expected to carry on with the preparations for the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin later in June.
