Director Tasks Information Officers on Proper Management Of Information Outflow

Information Officers in the service of FCTA have been charged to manage and control information emanating from their Secretariat, Department and Agencies (SDAs) appropriately to avoid reputational damage to the Administration.
The Director gave the charge during a training Organised by the department of Information and Communication FCT, in conjunction with the Nigerian Union of Journalists FCT Chapter, at Utako District, Abuja, for Reporters and Editors of Abuja Digest Newspaper, a flagship media channel owned by the FCT Administration.
He said the 5-day training put together by the leadership of the FCT Administration is expected to equipped the participants with knowledge and necessary skills that would aid in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Sule, remarked that effective communication of government policies and programmes will go a long way in enlightening residents of the FCT on the efforts by the Wike led Administration in realizing the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Also speaking during the training, the Head of Administration, Department of Information and Communication, Ms Aina Gbemisola, advised the trainees to align with the organizational goals.
Gbemisola also warned the trainees to desist from negligence in handling information.
