FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has flagged-off construction of the 9.8 kilometre Kabusa-Takushara road to further open up that area.

The event marks the beginning of a fresh round of flag-off of about seven projects lined up across the Territory.

Performing the flagg-off in Kabusa on Tuesday, Wike stated that President Bola Tinubu was determined to fulfilling promises of touching people’s lives in Abuja; revealing that it was the first time roads were being constructed in the Councils with streetlights.

He stressed that the construction of roads was bringing about job creation, tackling hunger, providing access to farms and transportation of farm produce, as well as facilitating easy movement of persons, especially pregnant women, in terms of health emergencies.

The Minister, after painting a hitherto hopeless picture of things in the Territory, stated that the the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ has brought hope to FCT residents; stating that hope was the most important thing.

Wike spontaneously directed his Chief of Staff, Chidi Amadi, to facilitate immediate upgrading of the Senior Secondary School, Kabusa, as an emergency project.

He also banned lining up of school children for welcome purposes in the FCT; saying the children must get the best and be treated with dignity at all times.
