Wike Commissions Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo Road

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has commissioned the 11 kilometre Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo Road.

Performing the commissioning ceremony in Sukuku, Kwali Area Council, on Tuesday, the Minister announced that he would construct a bridge in the area, which the Council Chairman, Danladi Chiya, had earlier requested.

Wike pledged: “That bridge will be done. Mr. President has said that anything you want, you should ask me, we will do it for you.”

The Minister urged the people to be patient with President Bola Tinubu; assuring that things would be better.

He recalled that Kwali people had asked him to construct the road when he visited the Council for stakeholders’ meeting last year; saying that the promise was fulfilled.

The Minister disclosed that Kwali became the first community where solar street light was being installed in the whole of the six Area Councils.

He thanked Gilmor Nigeria Construction company for delivering quality work and for renovating Sukuku Primary School as part of its corporate social responsibility.

FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, while speaking at the occasion, stated that lack of good road network could hinder transportation of food produce, students to schools, and improve access to health care facilities.

She thanked the President, Minister, members of the community and all other stakeholders who contributed to execution of the school.
