Chinese Embassy hands over N2m items to FCT school

China-Assisted Model Primary School, Nyanya, had a turnaround in fortunes as the Director, China Cultural Center, Li Xuda, presented study materials worth over N2 million to the school recently.

At the presentation ceremony, Xuda expressed his ”sincere happiness” and that of the Embassy of Peoples Republic of China over the good use to which the center’s previously donated items were put.

The Director did not fail to note what he described as the school’s spick and span environment, stressing that even the pupils and teachers ”were sparkling clean.”

Receiving the items, FCT Education Secretary, Dr. Bala Mohammed Liman, applauded the efforts of the China Cultural Center and assured that the items would be put to maximum use.

He subsequently handed the items over to the school Head Teacher, Hajiya Duduyemi Saudat, who could not curtail her joy while taking delivery of the items.

Also speaking on the occasion, FCT UBEB Chairman, Dr. Kabir Ibrahim Matazu gave his word that it is in the habit of the agency to maintain and manage every resource, including the latest ones, within her reach in a proper way.

The Chairman remarked that the donation would further strengthen the relationship between the Peoples Republic of China and Nigeria.

The pupils were not left out of events as they presented a welcome speech and cultural dances, after which the Head Teacher, Hajiya Saudat took the guests, including Dr. Liman; Dr.Matazu; Director, FCT UBEB, Dr. Adamu Jatau Noma; and others round the school compound for inspection.
