FCTA Risk Communication Team To Mobilize Resources For Effective Services

The Federal Capital Territory Administration Multi-Sector Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Team is poised to mobilize and harness resources to enable it perform effectively.
Accordingly, the mobilization of resources will go a long way to help in achieving its core objectives of responding to emergencies comprehensively and timely.
Pioneer Chairperson, FCT Multisector Risk Communication and Community Engagement, (RCCE), Hauwa Suleiman, stated this during an exclusive interview with Abuja Digest Newspaper.
Suleiman, who is the pillar lead of the RCCE in the Public Health Department, said the onus is on the team to respond comprehensively to emerging situations but would be achievable if resources were available for the team to work effectively.
The Risk Communication expert explained that with these resources, the job would have been much easier to plan and execute; adding that moreover, logistics are required for effective and efficient service delivery.
She explained that for the team to respond to emergencies efficiently, they also need work tools to enable them prepare ahead.
Suleiman explained that with the support of Breakthrough Action Nigeria (BAN), they were able to inaugurate the FCT Multi-Sector RCCE team on July 17, 2024, as the first sub-national team in the country.
Corroborating this during the inauguration of the team, the Secretariat team lead of the National RCCE Multi-Sector Team, Micheal Okali, said the National Team is ready to support the FCT Team but emphasized the need to mobilize resources to get the work done.
