FCT-IRS Donates Revenue Equipment To AMMC

To improve revenue collection, the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has donated ICT equipment to the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC).

Accordingly, the presentation of ICT equipments ostensibly is to help facilitate electronic transactions in the ‘Front Office’ of AMMC, thereby improving revenue collections.

The equipment was presented by the Acting Chairman of the FCT-IRS, Mr. Haruna Abdullahi, when his team paid a visit on the Coordinator of AMMC, Mr. Felix Amechi Obuah, in his office.

The Chairman said that conversation has been on-going with AMMC, especially the Department of Development Control, on how to facilitate the ease of payment and issuance of receipts through electronic transactions.

He said that the computers being presented should be seen as nothing comparable to the expected target they intend to accomplish in their proposed design with the departments, which they intend to assist in the FCT.

Abdullahi said that their presentation should be seen as an encouraging step to foster a good relationship, and also make things easier for the the members of staff and by extension to residents of FCT.

He reiterated that the gesture should be seen as signs of the beginning of a good relationship, which they intend to concretize in view of the Coordinator’s dogedness and leadership qualities.

Responding, the Coordinator of AMMC, Mr. Felix Amechi Obuah appreciated the kind gesture and assured that the equipment will be put to good use.

He thanked the Chairman for his thoughtfulness and promised to strengthen the cordial relationship.
