Accept Your Posting In Good Faith; Minister Of State; Enjoins Corps Members

The FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has enjoined Corps Members posted to the Federal Capital Territory to accept their postings to the areas of their primary assignment in good faith.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2023 Batch “C” Stream II Corps Members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, the Minister, who was represented by the Secretary, Social Development Secretariat & Chairman FCT NYSC Governing Board, Ibrahim Aminu, emphasized that accepting their various postings in good faith will enable them settle down quickly in their respective places of primary assignment and begin to contribute to the growth and development of the host communities through developmental projects.

She expressed the Administration’s determination to continue to provide the necessary security and peaceful environment for them to thrive irrespective of the location of their service.

The Minister admonished the Corps Members to be peaceful and law abiding as they step into their various communities across the FCT for their primary assignments, because that will aid in their acceptance and support throughout their service year by the people in the community.

Her words: “Put in your best behavior as previously been done by your predecessors and posterity will judge you for good.”

Mahmoud reminded them of the need to leverage on the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Training they have received, aimed at making them self dependent and employers of labour.

She commended the Management and DG NYSC, Brig. Gen. Y.D Ahmed as well as the FCT NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Winifred N. Shokpeka for grooming the young ones to be better Nigerians.
