In a move to strengthen staff capacity for improved service delivery in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as implemented by the Hon. Minister of FCT, the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has organized a capacity-building training for its staff on contemporary issues in the public service, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance institutional efficiency and strengthen service delivery within the Agency.

The training, facilitated by Bureaugate Global Services Ltd., took place at the Agency’s Entrepreneurial Complex in Jahi, Abuja.

The workshop equipped staff with updated knowledge on financial management, transparency, due diligence, best practices, accountability, and other procedures aligned with current regulatory standards guiding public institutions in the FCT.

Speaking at both the opening and closing sessions of the training, the Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AEA, Dr. Chudi Ugwuada-Ezirigwe, appreciated the Hon. Minister of FCT, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, for making the work environment conducive through the provision of security and massive infrastructural development particularly roads construction.

He said the programme was designed to enable staff carry out their responsibilities more effectively and without operational bottlenecks.

According to him, after the exercise, staff are expected to be very knowledgeable in accounting, auditing, administrative procedures, and human resource policies of the Agency.

“At the end of this training, trust me, it will no longer be business as usual. AEA has a corporate culture anchored on excellent service delivery, and under my watch I want to see all staff deliver on their schedule of duties,” he said.

Dr. Ugwuada-Ezirigwe further stressed the importance of dedication to public service, noting that the Agency requires committed personnel who are willing to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“Any staff who is not cut out for the patriotic work we are doing in line with nation-building should quietly ease themselves out. We do not come here merely to sign attendance and leave; we come here to work,” he added.

He also commended the facilitators for their professional input and assured them that the knowledge gained during the training would be applied practically in the Agency’s operations

Earlier in his remarks, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bureaugate Global Services Ltd., Prince Adams-akisin Akhadaghebalu urged participants to see the training not as a management largesse measured in monetary value but as an opportunity for knowledge transfer through continuous training and retraining.

Responding on behalf of the staff at the end of the workshop, the Team Lead, Rural Community Development Social Enterprise and Inclusion Department, Mrs. Asiya Sani Sulaiman thanked the Acting MD/CEO and the management of the Agency for the initiative, assuring that staff would put the knowledge gained into effective use.

She reaffirmed the commitment of staff to always place the interest of the organization above personal aspirations.

Abuja Digest reports that by investing in continuous capacity building, the Agency continues to reinforce its commitment to improving operational efficiency, strengthening institutional systems, and delivering better support to businesses across the Federal Capital Territory.
