CIHRSM INDUCTS FCTA PERMANENT SECRETARIES, SENOIR OFFICIALS

The Chartered Institute of Human Resources and Strategic Management (CIHRSM) has inducted two Permanent Secretaries and several other senior staff of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) as part of events marking its 2025 CIHRSM Investiture in Abuja.

The two Permanent Secretaries inducted as Doctorate Fellows of CIHRSM were Hajiya (Dr.) Asmau Mukhtar Esq, Permanent Secretary of Women Affairs Secretariat, and Dr. Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde, Permanent Secretary (Common Service), Office of the FCT Head of Service.

Addressing the inductees at the occasion, Registrar/CEO of CIHRSM, Dr. Minna Onomroba Abell, Ph.D, charged them to leave above board in the discharge of their duties, emphasizing that they are ambassadors of the CIHRSM profession, who are expected to deliver standard Human Resources Management -RHM services on their duty posts. “I charge you today to become problem solvers and be the eyes through which your organization sees the human challenges in policy and performance. Be the hands that craft solutions that are people-centered, inclusive, and innovative”, Dr. Abell said. Categories of induction at the event included Doctorate Fellow Membership, Fellow Membership, Full Membership, Associate Membership, and Graduate Membership.

The Investiture also witnessed induction of other staff of Federal Capital Territory Administration, who expressed their total commitment to upholding the ethics of the CIHRSM profession. They included the Director of Finance and Account, Dr. Isa Naziru, Head of Administration, FCT Civil Service Commission, Dr. Abenu Solomon, Overseeing Director Administration, Buhari Wasiu, Deputy Director, Finance and Revenue, Dr. Irhia Gabriel Enatare, Deputy Director Arch. Dr. Amu Samson of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council.

Also inducted were, the Overseeing Director, Human Resources Department (FCDA), Dr. Awwal Abdullahi Ibrahim, Ag. Director, Child Development Department, Women Affairs Secretariat, Dr. Idris Yahaya Attah, Assistsnt Director, Dr. Uankhueche Moses Agbonifo Ph.D, Mohammed Uzairu Furyam, Dr. Oba Ismai, also of Women Affairs Secretariat FCTA, among others.

Commending CIHRSM for organising the Investiture for deserving inductees, Permanent Secretary, FCT Women Affairs Secretariat, Hajiya (Dr.) Asmau Mukhtar Esq., thanked the Institute for its strategic Mission to upscale RHM operations in Nigeria. According to her, the induction would spur more commitment and quality service delivery. Her words, “This investiture is in recognition of our commitment and long years of service in the public service, against the obvious background that we have been practicing as public officers for a very long time, covering various sectors. And we sincerely appreciate the Institute for recognizing our services in our different workplaces. This is a call to quality service delivery, more dedication and more commitment, because much more is expected from us, especially in terms of training those under us to emulate our ethical standards, and even surpass what we can offer”, Hajiya Mukhtar said.

FCT Coordinator of the Institute, Dr. Uankhueche Moses Agbonifo, expressed gratitude to the CIHRSM Governing Council for considering to host the event in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, for the first time.
