DAF Agric Secretariat Bows Out Of Service

The Director of Administration and Finance (DAF), in the FCT Agriculture And Rutal Development Secretariat, Ishaq Abunakar Sadiq, has bowed out after 35 years of glorious service to the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

Thus, the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat honoured him with a well-attended send-off ceremony, at the Newton Park Hotel in Wuse District, Abuja.

Mandate Secretary, Lawan Kolo Geidam, paid tribute to the retiring Director; describing him as an exemplary civil servant who embodied the values of integrity, professionalism and selflessness.

His words: “You hear his name mentioned everywhere you go, as a complete gentleman with high-level reputation and a trusted problem-solver. I have had the privilege of working with many public servants, but Sadeeq stands out. His dedication, expertise and passion for service are qualities that every civil servant should aspire to.”

The Acting Head of Civil Service, Federal Capital Territory Administration, Grace Adayilo, who was also present at the event, shared memories of her time working with Sadeeq as Permanent Secretary.

“My brother Sadeeq was an invaluable partner, always willing to offer guidance and support,” she said.

On his part, Bitrus Garki, Mandate Secretary, Area Council Services Secretariat, congratulated Sadeeq on his successful career; describing him as a man of rare virtues.

“Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of civil servants,” Garki added.

In his response, Sadeeq expressed gratitude to the Mandate Secretary, Management and staff of the Secretariat for their support throughout his career.

“I am proud to have served the FCTA and I will always cherish the memories and experiences gained,” he said.

In accordance with civil service procedures, Sadeeq formally handed over to Mrs. Ann Ijeoma, Director of Administration, as the Most Senior Director in the Secretariat.
