Emulate your Boss, FCT Commission Secretary Charges Information Staff

The Secretary of the newly established FCT Civil Service Commission, Umar Sanda Kuso, has enjoined Information Officers as well as other officers to emulate the Director of Information and Communication, Muhammad Hazat Sule, by being disciplined and dedicated in the discharge of their duties and re-dedicate themselves to the service of FCT Administration.

The Secretary said that the present FCT Administration under the pragmatic leadership of Barr. Nyesom Wike is committed to the welfare and wellbeing of the entire FCT workers, and therefore, urged the staff to re-dedicate themselves to the services of the Administration.

Kuso, who gave the charge, Tuesday, in a brief ceremony to mark the birthday of the Director of Information and Communication, FCT, Muhammad Hazat Sule, described Sule as a workaholic, dedicated and disciplined Officer.

Speaking further, Kuso also described the Director of Information and Communication as a a trailblazer and a goal getter, who is always focused on achieving set targets, most especially, official function.

His word: “Let me tell you, the Director is a man who is dedicated, committed and passionate for work with a strong desire in pursuing his set goals without hesitation or fear of failure; adding that the the celebrant does not tolerate failure but detest it at all cost.”

In his remark, the Special Assistant to the FCT Minister of state, Austin Elemue, also described the Director as a teacher and an achiever, who has succeeded in transforming the Department of Information and Communication into a desired place in the history of the FCT Administration.

He emphasized that the numerous and unprecedented achievements that have been made possible courtesy of the Director’s vision and determination for innovation, creativity and productivity in the Department will continue to speak for him after he must have been given a higher position to continue with the good works he is known for.

Elemue stated that the Director has always made him remember a Church slogan in Botswana, which says ‘always live your life well’; adding that the celebrant with his zeal in accomplishing tasks, the celebrant has impacted in his life positively.

The Head of Administration of the Department, Aina Gbesmisola, described the Director as a loving and caring father, who is always accommodative to everyone around him and always like carrying people along without any sense of segregation in all his dealings.

She said that the staff of the Department are in harmonious working relationship due principally to the Director’s leadership style of simplicity, friendliness, accommodating and goal oriented.

She commended the staff for turning out for the event, despite the short notice and assured of their continue support to the Director for effective discharge of the mandate of the Department.

The wife of the Director, Hajiya Hauwa Ladidi Idris, who spoke on bahalf of the family, appreciated the kind gesture of the Department; adding that the success story of the Department of Information and Communication is being attributed to my husband, but it’s largely through the support of the staff; stressing that the family will ever remain grateful for the maximum support, love and care shown to her husband.
