EXCITING KICKOFF AS 18 TEAMS CLASH IN 2025 FCT FA LEAGUE

The 2025 FCT Football Association League is off to a flying start in Abuja, and football fans are in for a real treat. A total of 18 clubs from across the Federal Capital Territory are going head-to-head in what promises to be a thrilling contest packed with goals, drama, and plenty of passion.

The teams are split into three groups, and matches are being played at two popular venues: the Area 3 Playing Pitch and the Old Parade Ground. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group will move on to the Super Six, where the best of the best will battle it out for the title.

Day 1 served up some exciting matches. CASMATT FC started strong, beating Gwarinpa United 3–1. Golden Boys of Ushafa and IB Sports gave fans a nail-biter, with Golden Boys edging it 4–3. Defence Strikers also got off to a winning start, defeating Royal FC in another close game that ended 4–3.

Here is how the groups look:

Group A: CASMATT FC, Defence Strikers, Gwarinpa United, Golden Boys, IB Sports, and Royal FC

Group B: Pride FC, Youthful Ballers FA, Optimum Sports, Makinz FC, Camp United, and RAMSAKY FC

Group C: Ejike Ugboaja, Basic Maracana, Abees FA, Future Guarantee, Sofae Sports, and Sensational Stars

With plenty more matches, the stage is set for an unforgettable football showdown in Abuja.
