The FCT Water Board has pledged to improve on its services to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory.

The Acting General Manager of the Board, Mr. Daniel Salka Audu, made this pledge in his office, as he was reacting to some challenges faced in the past due to major pipe rupture that caused water disruption in some parts of the city.

His words: “The Board is determined in its efforts to tackle any of such challenges hampering effective provision of portable water within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) now and in future.”

The General Manager acknowledged the understanding and resilience of FCT residents, particularly its customers, during the water disruption period that affected various parts of the City and Territory.

Audu said that the disruption in water supply was caused by a rupture of a major pipeline during construction work.

He said that the Board’s engineers worked tirelessly to rectify the damage.

Audu lamented that the sudden nature of the damage was the reason there was no prior announcement to the disruption and regretted any inconvenience the situation may have caused consumers.

He commended residents’ exceptional patience and expressed the FCT Administration’s commitment towards ensuring that improved services are continually rendered to the public.
