FCTA CLOSES SERVICOM WEEK CELEBRATION WITH ROADWALK RALLY

The Federal Capital Territory Administration officially rounded up its 2025 SERVICOM Customer Service Week with a Roadwalk Rally on Monday, October 13, 2025.
The week long celebration with the theme “Mission Possible,” started on the 6th of October 2025. Across FCT Schools, Hospitals, Departments, Agencies and Secretariats, 34 students were given scholarships, outstanding staff received awards, and customers were recognized. Debate, Quiz, Talkshows, Sports, Cultural Dances, Free Medical Consultation and distribution of Medicines, Community Services, Sensitization on Substance Abuse, unveiling of Suggestion Boxes and many of such activities held in commemoration of the week.
As part of events concluding the SERIVCOM Customer Service Week Celebration, a Roadwalk Rally which held on Monday, October 13, 2025 commenced at the FCTA Secretariat and traversed key agencies, including the Hospitals Management Board, Federal Capital Development Authority, Abuja Geographic Information Systems Complex, and the FCT Archives and History Bureau.
The FCT Head of Service, Nancy Nathan and the Permanent Secretary (Common Services) Mr. Rotimi Ajayi represented by the Nodal Officer, FCT Ministerial SERVICOM Unit, Mr. Tam’ Dokubo warmly welcomed participants to the Roadwalk Rally, and declared the theme of the celebration which reiterated the resilience of staff at surmounting rigors associated with work, to ensure that indigenes and residents of the FCT receive the timely transparent excellent services they deserve.
“We are celebrating our regular and support staff who sacrifice to make the impossible possible for customers,” he said.
“We celebrate the FCT Minister, the Minister of State and the Chief of Staff. We celebrate the Head of Service, all Permanent Secretaries, all Heads of Departments and Agencies. We celebrate our ever-faithful customers; we celebrate ourselves for being committed to fulfilling the mandate of the FCT Administration.” Dokubo reiterated.
The Director General, FCT Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Abubakar Ahmadu in his welcome address, congratulated and commended the entire SERVICOM Team for their efforts and commitment in promoting prompt, efficient and effective service delivery in the FCT.
He further pledged the Board’s continuous support to SERVICOM Officers in ensuring that services are enhanced in FCT Hospitals. In his words “every one of us deserves good healthcare in dignity, and the Board will continue to provide such services that are compatible to Nigerians.”
Similarly, the SERVICOM Roadwalk Rally received a warm welcome from the Executive Secretary, Engr. Richard Dauda at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
Engr. Dauda highlighted FCDA’s achievements in building the City since 1976 and praised the Minister, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike’s impact on project delivery, noting that FCTA is essentially project-driven.
He added that recently, the Minister has flagged off 19 projects to be completed within the next one or two years.
At the Abuja Geographic Information System Complex, the Acting Director, Umar Sayyadi, emphasized the Department’s commitment to ease of doing business and effective service delivery, highlighting AGIS’ technological advancements “We manage Lands and Human beings,” he said.
In his comments, the Acting. Director of Administration, Uzochukwu Jacob Udebunam, representing the Director of Land Administration, highlighted the Department’s courtesy and commitment to customer satisfaction. “Our customers are kings and queens,” he said. “We’ve embarked on training our staff to be courteous at all times.”
He added that plans are underway to provide more Suggestion Boxes for customers to submit their suggestions and complaints, which will aid the Administration in making positive decisions.
The FCT Minister’s achievements were also reiterated, including the signing of over 20,000 Certificates of Occupancy (CofO) within his first eight months in office.
Closing the Roadwalk Rally at the FCTA Secretariat, a representative of the.SERVICOM National Office, Mrs Rose Elijah, commended participants for their commitment to quality service delivery, and appreciated the FCT Administration for a job well done.
