FCTA HONOURS RETIRED DIRECTOR, CELEBRATES LEGACY OF SERVICE AND MENTORSHIP.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) witnessed a remarkable outpouring of love, respect, and admiration as staff, families, friends, and associates gathered to celebrate the retirement of one of its distinguished officers, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Onivehu Leramoh who retired as Director of Administration, Economic Planning Revenue Generation and Public Private Partnerships (EPRG&PPP) Secretariat of the FCT Administration.

In her welcome address, Dr. Neemat Daud Abdulrahim, Director of the FCT Education Resource Centre (FCT-ERC) Abuja, said the gathering is to honour the meritorious service of the retired director who she described as a dependable brother.

She paid glowing tribute to the retired Director, acknowledging his dedication and impactful service to the FCT Administration. She  said his contributions everywhere he had served significantly enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of the system.

She noted that throughout his years in service, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Leramoh distinguished himself through hard work , accountability and commitment to duty, adding that his legacy would continue to inspire both his contemporaries and the younger generation of Public Servants.

In their various goodwill messages, Colleagues and Staff who spoke described him as a pillar of professionalism, discipline and administrative excellence.

They extolled him as a team player and a man with humility, noting that his calm disposition and problem-solving skills earned him the respect of all who worked with him.

They commended his administrative competence and dedication to due process, stating that his contributions helped strengthen institutional frameworks within the various offices he worked.

Representing his staff while in Education Secretariat,Mrs Mercy Ujunwa Onuoha  expressed deep appreciation for his mentorship and support over the years, highlighting how he guided many officers to grow professionally and ethically.

In the citation read, he was described as a devoted family man, emphasizing that his success in Public Service was matched by his commitment to his family and community. The citation also stated that his life exemplifies service, leadership, and integrity, while wishing him good health, peace, and fulfillment in retirement.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of a media documentation titled “Press Clips and Action in Pictures”, which captured his journey, achievements, and memorable moments throughout his years of service, the presentation drew admiration from all as it showcased the depth of his contributions to the FCT Administration.

In his vote of thanks, the celebrant, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Onivehu Leramoh, expressed profound gratitude to God, the FCTA leadership, colleagues, friends, and family members for the honour bestowed on him thanking them for the overwhelming show of love and support, noting that his years in service were both fulfilling and rewarding.

The retired Director also used the opportunity to advocate for the establishment of a forum of retired Directors within the FCT Administration, aimed at serving as mentors to upcoming officers.

 According to him, such a platform would provide an avenue to share the wealth of experience, institutional knowledge, and guidance that would further strengthen the capacity and continuity of the public service.

He urged serving officers to remain committed, uphold integrity, and continue to contribute their best to the growth and development of the FCT.

The colourful event which attracted dignitaries from within and outside the FCT featured goodwill messages, presentation of gifts, ended on a joyful note, with prayers and best wishes for a fulfilling and impactful life after service.
