FCTA RELEASES HOTLINES FOR RESIDENTS TO REPORT WASTE ACCUMULATION

In its determination to tackle the persistent waste management challenges in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has introduced a swift reporting mechanism for residents.
Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, made this known in a press statement released on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025.
It disclosed that four dedicated phone numbers have been made available for the public to report uncleared refuse across the city.
The designated lines are: 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710 and 09114843425
Residents of the are urged to send photographs and videos of waste piles via WhatsApp to these numbers and specify the exact locations for proper identification of the assigned waste contractors.
This is because the residents are encouraged to actively participate in maintaining the city’s sanitation by promptly reporting any observed lapses in waste evacuation.
The initiative is part of the FCTA’s broader strategy to enforce accountability among waste management service providers and ensure a cleaner, healthier FCT.
