FCTA To Use Technology For Transparent Land Administration

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will utilize technology for transparent Land Administration to enhance service delivery.
The newly appointed FCT Director of Land Administration, Tpl Ekarikpong Ukpannah, stated this while he took over the affairs of the Department at No. 4, Peace Drive, Central Business District, Abuja.
Ukpannah said that technology is the way to tackle all challenges bedeviling Land administration and management, especially in a modern city like Abuja.
While promising to consolidate on the foundation laid by the outgoing Director, Tpl Adamu Jibrin Hussaini, he said that the use of technology in land administration processes is imperative to ensure efficiency, transparency and reliable land administration procedure.
Ukpannah said that change is the only permanent thing in life; saying “I am not here to witch-hunt anyone, I am here to do my work to the best of my abilities, to run an open door policy as my door will be opened to all staff’’.
He praised the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for the opportunity given him to serve as the Director of Land, and pledged to work towards the realization of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as visualized by the FCT Minister.
He called on all staff of the Department to support the present leadership of th FCT Administration under Nyesom Wike to to enable him achieve the lofty ideas of the Federal Government for the overall benefits and well-being of FCT resident.
In his remarks, the out-going Director of Land Administration, Tpl Adamu Jibrin Hussaini, said he has contributed his quota in strengthening the Land Administration process in the Territory and urged the new Director to build on his achievements.
Hussaini enumerated some of the achievements of the Department under his leadership to include its repositioning and bringing sanity to its operations.
He expressed confidence in the new Director, whom he said is a competent professional colleague.
The brief ceremony was also attended by the Secretary of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Mallam Umar Sanda Kuso.
