The Federal Government has approved three additional projects for immediate execution in Kuje Area Council.
FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, made the disclosure on Thursday, while commissioning the 5 kilometre asphalt carriageway from Garage Junction to LEA Secretariat.
His words: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved three additional projects for Kuje Area Council namely: the connection of the Kuje-Kpegyi road; Kuje-Kwaku road and continuation of the dualization of the Kuje township road to Gwagwalada.”
The Minister said that the President had also revived work on construction and dualization of the road connecting Abuja Airport to Kuje; revealing that the over ₦59 billion project had been stalled before Tinubu came to power.
He noted that many had given up hope that this road would be completed until President Tinubu came and brought back their hope.
Wike recalled that during a visit to China by the President, last year, a ₦50 billion worth agreement was signed with CGC to provide water to the satellite towns in FCT, including Kuje.
According to him, it is only during Tinubu’s time that government communicates with the people to know their plight, and provide their needs so as to make them happy and improve their livelihoods.
He called on the people to keep on supporting the government, so that more good things would continue to be given to them.
Commending Kuje Area Council Chairman, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, for good leadership, he stated that good leadership brings hope to the people, even as he argued that governance was not about political party affiliation.
He stressed that a party was only a vehicle that conveyed one to a destination where he or she should step down and deliver good governance.
“Tinubu’s administration is not about party it’s about changing the lives of Nigerians, and that’s what we are doing here”, he added.
