Former FCT Director Of Treasury Commends Wike Over Wanki’s Appointment

The former Director, Department of Treasury, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Hamza Alhaji Zanna, has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr, Nyesom Wike, over the appointment of his successor, Adamu Ibrahim Wanki, as the Permanent Secretary, Treasury and Budget, FCT Administration.
Zanna made the commendation, when he paid a courtesy visit to his successor and Permanent Secretary, Treasury and Budget, FCTA, Mallam Adamu Ibrahim Wanki, Thursday, in his Office, No. 1, Kapital Street, Area 11 Garki I District, Abuja,
The visit was to felicitate with Adamu Wanki on his historic appointment as the pioneer Permanent Secretary in charge of Treasury and Budget of the FCT Administration, by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike,
Zanna, who commended the FCT Minister for the worthwhile appointment, said he is excited over the elevation of his successor to the position of Permanent Secretary in the FCT Civil Service.
He said, given Wanki’s track record as a dedicated, disciplined and top notch professional, he has, no doubt, in his mind that he will discharge his responsibilities diligently in accordance with the ethics, and the Public Service Rule.
The ex-DOT, while describing the appointment as well deserved, urged the new Permanent Secretary to remain focus and dedicated in preforming his functions, so as to live an indelible mark as the first person to occupy such an exalted position in the Department of Treasury.
He also praised the FCT Minister and his team for the various reforms as well as infrastructural transformation in the Federal Capital Territory.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Treasury and Budget, Adamu Wanki, thanked Zanna, his former boss for the visit; saying that he is encouraged by the visit as well as his useful advice.
Wanki commended the FCT Minister for finding him worthy of the elevation and expressed his commitment to continue to serve the FCT Administration under the leadership of Nyesom Wike diligently, in order to enable it realized the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the FCT.
