HAJJ 2026: FCT MPWB TO VACCINATE INTENDING PILGRIMS

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is set to conduct a vaccination/ inoculation exercise of intending pilgrims for 2026 Hajj, this weekend, at its Permanent Hajj Transit Camp, Bassan Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja.

Intending pilgrims from Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Kuje and the Headquarters of the Board (HQ), are to report on Saturday 11/04/26 by 8:00 AM for the exercise. While intending pilgrims from the Abuja Municipal, Bwari, the Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) and the Annex, are to report on Sunday 12/04/26 by 8:00 AM.

The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, briefing news men in his office, described the exercise as very essential and necessary for every intending pilgrim to participate, so as to get their e-yellow card, which is a part of the travel documents before entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

The Director, further highlighted that the vaccination covers cerebrospinal meningitis (CSM), yellow fever, influenza, poliomyelitis and other deadly diseases that pilgrims may contact in the course of performing their Hajj in the holy land.

Meanwhile, the Board called on the intending pilgrims to come along with the original receipts of their Hajj forms for the purchase of their Hajj seats and those that are still in possession of their e-passports, are to submit same to the Board’s officials immediately.
