Journalists Congratulate Gov. Bala, Tasks Him on More Development

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s Press Corps on Sunday congratulated the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed on his re-election for the second term in office and urged him not to relent on the delivery of people oriented projects, programmes and services to the people of the state.

The congratulatory message was contained in a letter signed by the Press Corps Chairman and Secretary, Hudu Yakubu and Gbenga Omokhunu respectively, and made available to the media over the weekend.

According to the letter, Muhammed’s re-election for a second term as Governor was a clear testament that “one good term deserves another, having executed many developmental projects in the state.

The letter reads in part: “The leadership and entire members of th FCT Minister’s Press Corps congratulate you on your re-election as the Executive Governor of Bauchi State.

“The good people of Bauchi State, having profoundly spoken through their votes, we have, no doubt, that your second term in office would bring more painstaking sacrifices towards repositioning the state through more world-class infrastructural development and economic empowerment”.

Recalling it working relationship with the Bauchi Governor-elect, the journalists say: “As a Press Corps that has associated with you over the years, with nostalgic memories, right from the glorious days when you held sway as FCT Minister, we are proud to unequivocally opine that Bauchi state has finally chosen the path that leads to greatness.”

“We heartily pray that Almighty Allah gives you the wisdom to remain faithful in delievry on your social contract with the people of the state. And may your unalloyed commitment to the general welfare of the masses remain sustained. Congratulations once again”, the statement added.

Abuja Digest reports that Bala Muhammed served as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory from 8th April 2010 to May 29, 2015 under the Presidency of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan
