Obuah Calls For Improved Services In DOAS

The Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Mr. Felix Ameachi Obuah, has enjoined staff of the Department of Outdoor Advertisement and Signage (DOAS), to rededicate themselves to duty so as to collectively fashion out ways to improve on their services.
The Coordinator made this call at DOAS while on familiarization tour of Agencies and Departments under the purview of AMMC.
Obuah said that he observed the challenges, which are peculiar to different departments.
The Coordinator further called on the staff to come up with relevant ideas, which can beef up service delivery; stating that efficiency through professionalism will help address some of the challenges.
The Coordinator cautioned against truancy and low productivity, charging them to add more value to the services of the FCT Administration.
He opined that through collective responsibility, the Department’s mandates will be achieved.
Obuah promised to address the Department’s challenges particularly logistics and security of Enforcement Staff.
He also promised to introduce an internal assessment and reward system as way of motivating Staff, just as he tasked them on the need to upscale revenue collection and to limit leakages.
Welcoming the AMMC Coordinator, the Acting Director of DOAS, Abdullahi Mohammed Sanusi, stated that the Coordinator’s visit was a testament to his dedication and commitment to the Department as well a motivation to the Staff to strive for the highest standards and new visions in line with the Department’s vision, mission and core values.
The Director added that the Coordinator’s renowned leadership, guidance and support will help shape the Staff towards excellent service delivery in all ramifications.
