In one of the most stunning results in Club World Cup history,  PSG delivered a tactical masterclass to dismantle European giants Real Madrid 4–0 in the semi-final on Wednesday night, a result that echoed across continents.

The French side, widely expected to be cannon fodder for a Madrid side boasting the firepower of Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham, turned the script on its head with a fearless display built on speed, discipline, and ruthless counter-attacking.

From the outset, PSG’s plan was clear: absorb pressure, break at lightning speed, and make every transition count. While Madrid enjoyed early possession, they struggled to break through a compact and well-drilled midfield block. Each time the ball turned over, PSG unleashed their front line like arrows, racing past a static Madrid backline.

The Parisians relied on counter-attacking football and  excellent Gianluigi Donnarumma saves to crown a fruitful season.

The game was not a without some high moments as the Catalan giants probed with incursions from Mbappe who was visibly frustrated.

At the end however, it was a dejected Luka Modric, the Croatian giant, who is playing his last match in Madrid colours, speeders Mbappe and Bellingham who were cleverley overmatched by pure grit, determination and hunger to remain on top.

The European champions are scheduled to play Chelsea in the finals on Sunday, July 13th.
