Work Synergy, Panacea For Better Service Delivery – Info Director

High level collaboration and proactive work synergy among the Secretariats, Departments and Agencies (SDAs) in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is a fundamental tool for improved service delivery towards achieving government sets goals.
The Director of Information and Communication, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Muhammad Hazat Sule, stated this, while receiving the Director of Service Compact (SERVICOM) in the FCTA, Mrs. Fumilayo Kayode, that paid him a working visit in his office, FCTA Secretariat, Area 11, Garki I District, Abuja.
The Director said that such collaboration would go a long way in improving service delivery to the residents in tune with the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’
Sule said that high level work relationship in any organization is essential for better goal achievements and, therefore, should be encouraged.
He explained that no body possesses monopoly of ideas needed to improve service delivery and productivity in an organizational set goals, thus, the need to embrace work synergy which is a necessity for a goal oriented organization to succeed.
The Director emphasized that the FCT Administration, by virtue of its structure requires even more than just a work relationship among the Secretariats, Departments and Agencies, because non of them can do without complementing one another for accomplishing reasonable results at a time.
Sule, who pledged his full support over a work relationship with the SERVICOM, reiterated that the duo needs each others in order to ensure that FCT Administration is one of the best organization among others, in time of service delivery.
He used the opportunity to appreciate the Director of SERVICOM, FCTA, for seeing the need to establish work relationship for the betterment of the Administrative track records on service delivery.
Speaking earlier, the Director of Service Compact, FCTA, Mrs. Kayode Funmilayo, said that, for the SERVICOM to be able to discharge its primary responsibilities effectively, Information and Communication Department must be an integral part of it and must warmly embrace each other.
Funmilayo explained that work relationship and familiarization with the Department of Information and Communication cannot be over emphasized, as staff cannot be properly informed by SERVICOM without effective use of the media; adding that if the media is taken away from the service of Service Compact, set goals may not be efficiently achieved.
The Director of SERVICOM, who further sought for better and strengthened collaboration between the FCTA Service Compact and the Department of Information and Communication, said there would be better achievements, result actualization and effectiveness in the service delivery in the FCT Administration; thereby improving the efficiency in the administrative achievements.
She used the opportunity to thank the Director for his acceptance and pledge made to give his support on the reportage of some of the activities carried out by the SERVICOM in the FCTA.
Abuja Digest recall that the primary responsibilities of Service Compact is; to provide quality service to the people, to set out the entitlement of the citizens, to ensure good leadership, to educate the citizenry and customers on their rights, and to empower public officers to be alert to their responsibilities in providing improved, efficient, timely and transparent service.
