2025 HAJJ: FCT To Complete Orientation Exercise For Intending Pilgrims

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, is to complete education and orientation exercises for 2025 Intending Pilgrims at the weekend.

The Director of the Board, Mallam Kadiri Edah, who disclosed this, said that the exercises which were conducted in batches would be completed with practical aspect to fully prepare the intending pilgrims for the spiritual journey.

The final phase of the exercise, according to him is billed to take place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April at the FCT Permanent Hajj Camp, Bassan-Jiwa, closed to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Edah revealed that Islamic scholars have already been mobilized for the exercise to be conducted in seven languages due to the peculiar nature of the FCT.

He explained that the exercises were conducted in phases as usual to enable the intending pilgrims get enlightened on the Hajj rites as well as new policies introduced for this year’s Hajj by the Saudi Authorities and National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The Director assured that the Board is on course as par the Hajj operation this year because strategies for its success have been mapped out to ensure that pilgrims attain acceptable Hajj.

He said that the Board was able to educate the intending pilgrims on the entire exercise, especially the new policies which were introduced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian government in respect of 2025 Hajj that may be strange to the pilgrims.

He advised Intending Pilgrims from the Territory for this year’s Hajj to participate in all programmes organized by the Board aimed to assist them to attain acceptable Hajj.

Edah called on intending pilgrims, who are yet to return their completed application forms or submit their international Passports to do so to enable the Board fast track the process of their travel documentation on time.

He stated that the Board has since commenced the process of procuring visa for the intending pilgrims; saying that the Board has secured a befitting accommodation in Makkah as well as selected reliable service providers to feed the FCT contingent in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this year.
