Nigeria Xtian Pilgrims To Enjoy World Class Services-NCPC

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has said that henceforth, Nigeria Christian Pilgrims will enjoy a World Class services in tune with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Bishop Steven Adegbite, gave this assurance, while receiving the Acting Director of the FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, (FCTCPWB), Mrs. Rahila Isa-Baita, that paid the Commission a working visit Tuesday in Abuja.
The Executive Secretary, while saying that very soon, the planned pilgrimage to Greece and Rome will be undertaken, noted that the NCPC is determined to provide a World Class services to all pilgrims to give them a memorable pilgrimage.
He said that due due process will however be followed.
Adegbite assured that there will be no compromise as the very best in terms of service will be offered to Nigerian pilgrims.
His words: “NCPC will strive to ensure that no pilgrims is shortchanged in terms of services from the Ground handlers and the airlines.”
The Executive Secretary reiterated that all stakeholders must be ready to give their best as “we are only ready to partner with those who are ready to work and project a positive image of the country.
“There will be stiff penalties for ground handlers or airlines that contravene agreed standards of operation,” he added.
Whilst urging the Board to immediately commence sensitizing intending pilgrims on the need to be prepared, he informed the Board of the shift from dollar bills to dollar cards which will be electronically on Automated Teller Machines (ATM) and Point of Sales(POS), devices.
The sensitization should give special attention to the pilgrims from the Area Councils, on the latest development, he said.
Speaking earlier, the Acting Director, FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, said that the Board has since embarked on sensitization exercise by way of advocacy, particularly at the rural areas on the use of technology.
The Director assured that FCT contingents would continue to be good ambassadors in the Holy Land.
She expressed the unflinching support and cooperation of the Board to the new leadership of the NCPC.
The Director, while congratulating the Executive Secretary on his appointment, prayed that his term will provide exemplary leadership for all Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards across the federation.
“We are very optimistic that you will ensure that pilgrimage in Nigeria yields many positive dividends that will contribute to sustainable national development,” the Director emphasized.
She explained to the Executive Secretary how the FCT Minister and Minister of State, Barrister Nyesom Wike and Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, have immensely been supporting the FCTCPWB.
