The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opening ceremony taking place in Côte d’Ivoire lived up to the hype following the display of spectacular cultural performances and delivery of musical acts.

Performances from local dance troupes and top music artists such as Dadju and Tay C as well as Yemi Alade left the stadium in full excitement.

There were also displays of masquerades and a rich showcase of Ivorian culture through their colours and fireworks.

The entire Stade Alassane Outarra stadium was a spectacle as fans got value for money.

Meanwhile, the President of the country delivered a message of peace and solidarity and was delighted to welcome Africa to Abidjan.

The host county is set for a month-long football extravaganza, where countries will unite, compete, and create unforgettable moments in the heart of African football.
