World record holder Tobi Amusan ran a brilliant race at the 2025 Paris Diamond League, finishing second in the women’s 100 metres hurdles with a season’s best time of 12.24 seconds.
Amusan came from behind in the final stretch, closing in fast on American Grace Stark, who had a quick start and held on to win with a personal best and meeting record of 12.21 seconds. Stark’s time makes her the fifth-fastest woman ever in the event.
Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent also impressed, finishing third in 12.30 seconds.
Amusan’s time is her second-fastest ever, just behind her world record of 12.12 seconds set in 2022. The performance in Paris shows she is getting stronger as the season progresses. Earlier this year, she won the 100 metres hurdles at the Rabat Diamond League with a time of 12.45 seconds.
Paris marked her fourth Diamond League race of the season, and with her form improving, Amusan is once again proving she is one of the best in the world.
As the World Championships draw near, Tobi Amusan looks ready to challenge for gold and possibly another world record.
