Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has issued a warning to Manchester City, emphasising that they cannot afford to drop any points if they are to secure a historic fourth consecutive Premier League title.

After Arsenal’s win against Tottenham, Guardiola expects Arsenal to maintain their form, making it imperative for City to maintain their winning streak.

“We prefer they lose, we cannot control what they do,” Guardiola said of Arsenal, per the Guardian. “There are four games left, I don’t think they are going to lose any points, so we know exactly what we have to do.”

City responded to Arsenal’s win with a hard-fought victory against Nottingham Forest, with goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland securing the win. Despite Forest’s disciplined defensive display, City managed to secure the crucial three points.

City’s win against Forest marked their fifth consecutive victory in the Premier League, putting them in a strong position in the title race. However, Guardiola might have to cope without his first-choice goalkeeper, Ederson, for the remaining fixtures after he sustained a shoulder injury.

Upcoming fixtures for City include home games against Wolves and West Ham, with trips to Fulham and Tottenham in between. Meanwhile, Arsenal faces Bournemouth, Manchester United, and Everton, setting up an intense race for the Premier League title.
