Nigeria Moves Up 14 Places In Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria has jumped up from 42nd to 28th position in the world according to the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
Before the AFCON, Nigeria was ranked outside the continents top five -6th, but its performance at the tournament which led to a 2nd place finish guaranteed elevation to the number 3 spot in Africa.
The Super Eagles’ remarkable ascent in the FIFA rankings marks a significant achievement for Nigerian football.
This climb reflects not only the team’s success but also the depth of talent and determination within Nigerian football.
It also represents the Super Eagles’ highest placement in approximately four years, indicating a resurgence in their performance and standing in world football.
Morocco and Senegal now top the continent’s rankings on 12th and 17th positions respectively while Egypt and eventual winners Cote D’Ivoire are place 4th and 5th in that order.
