Arsenal are back in command of Group B in the UEFA Champions League following a 2-1 victory over La Liga side Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Gabriel Jesus played a starring role with a goal and an assist as Arsenal moved top of UEFA Champions League Group B with a 2-1 win in Sevilla.

The result sees Arsenal rise to the summit of the pool with six points from three matches played.
Lens are second on five with Sevilla third on two points, ahead of PSV on goal difference.

Arsenal will now switch focus back to the Premier League and a home match with rock-bottom Sheffield United on Saturday. Sevilla, who sit 13th in La Liga, visit Cadiz.

In Germany, Bayern look set to run away with the group after making it three wins out of three with a 3-1 victory over Galatasaray in Istanbul.

Kingsley Coman’s early opener for the German champions was cancelled out by a Mauro Icardi penalty on the half-hour mark.

But Bayern pulled away in the second half, with Kane finishing in the 73rd minute to restore the visitors’ lead with his 11th goal in 12 games for his new club. He then set up Jamal Musiala to wrap up the win.

Bayern have now won 16 consecutive matches in the Champions League group phase and have not lost at this stage in over six years.

Elsewhere, a Harry Maguire goal and Andre Onana penalty save rescued Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League campaign as the Red Devils beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 in what manager Erik ten Hag had identified as a must-win game.

Onana and Maguire have both come in for plenty of criticism in their time at Old Trafford. Onana’s displays in the Champions League in particular have attracted bad reviews as he made errors against both Bayern and Galatasaray, while the metaphorical cloud over Maguire’s head has been there for more than a year. Yet on this occasion they were the heroes.

The dramatic win capped an emotional night at Old Trafford, with this the first home game since the passing of club legend Sir Bobby Charlton.

Man United now have three points and are third in Group A, a point off second-placed Galatasaray. Copenhagen are bottom on one point and Bayern Munich are top with three wins from three.
