FCTA to Strengthen Partnership with South Korea – Adesola

The FCT Administration (FCTA) has reiterated its commitment to strengthening partnerships with the South Korea Government.
The Permanent Secretary, Olusade Adesola made this known when the President of Korea – Africa Foundation (KAF) visited the Nigeria Korea Model School, Piwoyi.
Olusade said it is heartwarming to receive the visitor and his team adding that, the FCT Administration cherished the existing partnership between the two countries and the various contributions received particularly at the Nigeria Korea Model School, Piwoyi, which has continued to remain a Model School in the FCT as the Administration continues to sustain the quality of teaching and learning as well as the facilities.
The Permanent Secretary, who was represented by Mallam Leremoh Abdulrasaq, Director, Administration & Finance, Education Secretariat, noted with pleasure that, the quality of the facilities in the Nigeria Korea Model School has greatly assisted in the implementation of the e-education learning program, which has become a learning center for series of training embarked upon by the Education Secretariat for School Administrators, Teachers, as well as Students.
He stated that the unique facilities have placed FCT on a high pedestal in the implementation of online multimedia education and application; expressing the hope for greater cooperation and support in more areas.
Also speaking, the President, of Korea- Africa Foundation, Lyeo Woon KI, commended the FCT Administration for its partnership and the warm reception received by the School.
He explained that the Korea – Africa Foundation was established in June 2018 with the mission of promoting genuine partnership with the African continent in political, economic, cultural, education, and other areas; adding that it has established a network of people and partnerships with African countries.
He noted that Education is key for any meaningful development in a Nation, while commending the efforts of the FCT Administration in sustaining the existing collaboration with KOICA.
The Director/ Principal of the Nigeria Korea Model School, Piwoyi, Ms. Pamela Mbabefo while appreciating the South Korea team, said the School has enjoyed tremendous support from Nigeria and KOICA since its establishment.
He added that the School is well recognized and ranked high among all other Schools in FCT noting that, the students and teachers both in primary and secondary sections have continued to excel in the teaching and learning process as well as in the various training activities conducted.
