President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred the Award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory( FCT), Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello.

The award is in recognition of his sterling performance as the FCT Minister, especially his significant contributions to the infrastructural development of the Federal Capital City.

The conferment ceremony took place at the International Conference Center, Abuja, and was attended by distinguished personalities.

Since he assumed office as the FCT Minister, the FCT Administration under his leadership embarked on the completion of signature projects that would improve the socio-economic well-being of residents of the territory.

Some of the projects include the Six regional roads crisscrossing the entire FCC, the Greater Abuja Water Supply Project, which is expected to connect potable water to at least 1.5 million homes, and the deployment of Stand-alone Solar- powered Streetlights to adequately illuminate Abuja.

Most of the abandoned projects inherited by the Administration are religiously being executed.

Bello is known for his strong belief in President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption principles.

He is a firm believer in due process, transparency, and accountability in governance.

The FCT Minister was among the 450 recipients of the prestigious awards.

The award was bestowed on the awardees in three categories.
