The Esu of Bwari, His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Yaro (JP).

The installation of the new Chiefs is part of the moves that has seen his Cabinet of Chiefs expanded with the view to covering the huge task of administering his domain in Bwari Area Council.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman, Bwari Area Council, John Gbaya, admonished the new Mai-Ungwas to see their selection as a call to service in view of the series of challenges that come with the office in which they are occupying.

Gabaya urged them to adequately interact with the people so as to bring leadership close to the people under their watch.

In an interview with Newsmen, the Chairman reminded them that “security of their domains is very paramount, which calls for close monitoring of people living in your communities.”

He promised them of the Area Council’s support; saying their installation will minimize the rate at which citizens frequent Police Stations to report minor cases that could be easily settled by the Village Heads.

Earlier in his remarks, the Esu Bwari, Chief Ibrahim Yaro (JP) urged the new appointees to be peoples’ servants by bringing their subjects closer to them for community progress and development.

He charged them to work for unity, peace and progress in their various domains.

One of the newly installed Mai-Ungwa, Alhaji Halidu Mohammed, who is the Mai-Ungwa of Danko-tuko community called for reconciliation amongst other contestants in order to bring progress and development.

He told Abuja Digest correspondent that they will work with the Esu for the progress of the Area Council in particular and the FCT in general.
