PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: SENATE LAUDS FCTA

The Senate and House of Representatives Committees on FCT are committed to ensuring that residents of FCT enjoy prompt and adequate implementation of projects.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Smart Adeyemi, who led members of his committee and the Ministers of FCT gave this assurance while undertaking oversight function to major FCT critical infrastructural project, Tuesday.
The Committee visited the on-going Apo-Karshi road project, provision of the infrastructure to the site of the 5,000 affordable housing Units in Wasa and on-going work for the Provision of Engineering Infrastructure at Wasa Resettlement.
On the 5,000 Housing Units, and Wasa Resettlement site on-going infrastructure works, Senator Smart Adeyemi expressed satisfaction at the rate of infrastructure provided so far ranging from the earthworks, alsphalt overlay and noted that the essence of the visit is to look at the projects as regards the budget.
His words: ”Democracy is all about good governance, which is the protection and improvement of life of the people and their properties”.
He commended the Ministers for allowing the project to continue, despite the long years of waiting for the completion, and promised that the committee having seen the work and projects so far, will look at the budget and find ways on how to assist the in moving the projects to the next level.
The Chairman reiterated that the projects when completed will impact positively on the lives of the residents and therefore, will surely work on the way of delivering dividends of democracy.
