Bitrus Garki Interfaces With Karu Elders Over Chieftaincy Matters

In a bid to find a befitting person for the vacant stool of Karu Chiefdom, (Sa’Karuyi of Karu), the Secretary, FCT Area Councils Services Secretariat, Mr. Bitrus Lawrence Garki, has engaged the elders of Karu.

Accordingly, the Secretary enjoined the elders to put aside personal interests and consider the suitability of a candidate in the overall interest of the larger community.

Garki appreciated the disposition of the elders as well as their apparent readiness to embrace peace by accepting the resolutions reached at the end of the meeting.

He said that the current Administration of Nyesom Wike is committed to ensuring that all problems inhibiting the succession process of the Sa’Karuyi of Karu, are settled amicably.

According to him, this will assist in fast-tracking the progress made so far to achieve the installation of a new traditional leader of Karu.

Abuja Digest reports that the former occupant of the Royal Stool, HRH (Dr.) Emmanuel Kyauta Yepwi joined his ancestors on the 15th April 2023.
