Karu Bridge Witnesses Another Truck Accident

Karu Bridge witnessed yet another truck accident Thursday, but with no casualties.

The truck laden with fertilizer ran into a Hi-jet vehicle and a dump truck also known as a tipper.

The accident occurred under the popular Karu bridge along the Abuja-Keffi Expressway, where a CNG-Laden truck exploded yesterday evening claiming the lives of ten persons.

Reacting to the accident, the Acting Director-General of the FCT Emergency Management Department (FEMD), Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed has advised motorists to drive with caution as the Federal Road Safety Corps is taking steps to tow away the affected vehicles to avoid traffic buildup.

Mohamed appealed to drivers to always obey traffic rules and regulations in order to drive to stay alive.

The Director-General thanked God that no life was lost to the incident.
