Segment Of Samsung Building Under Construction Collapses

A segment of the Samsung building under construction located at Banex Junction, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II District, Abuja, has collapsed.
The incident occurred when the Pent House segment of the three story building collapsed during casting.
No life was lost to the incident, however, four out of the ten construction workers on site sustained minor injuries.
The four injured workers have been taken to the Wuse District Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Abuja Digest recalls that the Samsung building was gutted by fire on the 6th of November 2023.
Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, the Ag. Director-General of the FCT Emergency Management Department,(FEMD),Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, appealed to developers to adhere to the building code.
Mohammed also urged developers to always ensure on site safety.
The FEMD DG enjoined residents to use the 112 Emergency Toll Free number in the event of a disaster.
